The Village Vault

Food you can bank on Since 1982

Family style restaurant - breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner.

A little History

The building housing our restaurant was under construction in 1907 and opened for business as the First National and Savings Bank of Glendora on February 18, 1908. The building was 55' X 100' and was desgined to house a new bank, department store, and hall. The upstairs Hall became the Opera House with seating for 400+ people. The cost of the building was $12,000. The bank was on a prime location, asi it was next to the (then future) Pacific Electric Rail Line. On July 10, 1937, the bank was bought by Bank of America, which remained in this location until December 1960.

The original ornate door of the bank vault has been preserved  inside the restaurant.

We are proud to share some of the early history of this building with you and remain a secure place for your dining investment!
